This event is over, and it was a great success. Over a dozen guests came for the picnic, and 11 steers were selected. At the picnic lunch people talked with each other and shared the food they brought, and the weather was warm and windy. The event was so much fun, we plan on doing it again!
Some of the people who "Met Their Meat" branded their steers while their families and friends video taped and applauded. It was much more like a party than the hard work it's supposed to be. People who bought steers at our "Meet Your Meat" BYO Picnic were invited to come to the Fall Round-up, called "Heiferfest 2010," to see how their steers were doing.
